Death metal band from Stockholm, Sweden, formed in 1989. Formerly known as Nihilist (2).
In 2014 the members ended up in a legal feud over the rights for the Entombed band name. As a result Alex Hellid (as an original member) kept the rights for the Entombed name while the rest remaining active members (including the long time vocalist L-G Petrov) continued as Entombed A.D. for the time being.
In 2016 three original members (Andersson, Cederlund & Hellid) reunited to celebrate the 25th anniversary of band's second album "Clandestine". For live performance they were joined by former Morbus Chron members Robert Andersson (on vocals) & Edvin Aftonfalk (on bass), and by Orvar Säfström, who also performed vocals.
